Woman, War!

I haven’t written in a while and I have no idea if y’all are still here, but this is a clarion call for women of God to war (wrestle or contend) until they receive EXACTLY what they prayed for. This is not a message based in entitlement but it is one rooted in a desire to help women of God move forward and gain territory in their lives. The enemy has stolen time, relationships, joy, and health from us and we’ve allowed it by not taking authority over it.

God has more for our lives, but somethings we must fight for.

“A thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But I came to give life—life that is full and good.”

‭‭John‬ ‭10‬:‭10‬ ‭ERV‬‬

Provoked to Pray

Let’s start here

Sister, you CURRENTLY have the victory over whatever is troubling you. Yes, right now, the devil is defeated. And in God, it is done.

“No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.”

Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭37‬ ‭NLT‬‬

However, somethings we have to contend for. What does it mean to contend? To contend means to struggle in the face of great opposition. We will talk about contending more a little later, just stick with me.

Remember…

Women received their loved ones back again from death

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭35‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Faith-filled women saw their dead children raised in resurrection power

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭35‬ ‭TPT‬‬

God’s Promise of RESTORATION

The Art of War

All war is not the same. Some of you who are weary, discouraged, and battered may be happy to know that war does not necessarily mean exerting immense energy.  You can war from a place of rest. How you may ask?

Let me see if I can help. First, having an understanding that the battle is not yours and that it belongs to God is helpful because it takes some of the pressure off and provides reassurance.

“He said, “Listen, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Listen, King Jehoshaphat! This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭20‬:‭15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Second, knowing that God is here and He will help you through any challenge, lifts a lot of the burden. God is strong when we are weak. He knows when we do not.

““Come to me all of you who are tired from the heavy burden you have been forced to carry. I will give you rest. Accept my teaching. Learn from me. I am gentle and humble in spirit. And you will be able to get some rest. Yes, the teaching that I ask you to accept is easy. The load I give you to carry is light.””

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬-‭30‬ ‭ERV‬‬

War is war. It will require something of you but it does not have to defeat you and deplete you of the little you have left. This war may help you recover. Yes, recover all.

Weapons

In war, we need weapons. As a Christian, we must ask ourselves what those weapons look like because our fight is different.

“Our fight is not against people on earth. We are fighting against the rulers and authorities and the powers of this world’s darkness. We are fighting against the spiritual powers of evil in the heavenly places.” Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭12‬ ‭ERV‬‬

Use these weapons to defeat the enemy.

“For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭3‬-‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

  1. Repent – Acknowledge your wrongs and turn from them. Keep repenting until the change sticks in your heart. There is no condemnation in Christ. Keep trying to live His way. When and if you mess up, run to the One who loves you.)
  2. Pray and Fast Pray always but understand, somethings only go out by prayer AND fasting. May I also suggest that somethings only breakthrough by prayer and fasting.
  3. Praise and WorshipPraise and worship to remind yourself of the truth of who God is and give Him what He is owed.
  4. Feast on the Scriptures For this season, you need God’s Word on a matter. He holds His Word higher than His name. He is serious about keeping His Word. He is not a man, He does NOT lie. If He said it, that settles it.
  5. Use Your Voice – In Christ, we are given authority. Use your authority to tell the devil the infallible truth of God’s Word. Use God’s word against the schemes of the enemy. Jesus did it, you should too. Get used to speaking God’s Word aloud and over your “impossible” situations. Do not allow your words to keep you bound. Come out of agreement with the enemy. You are healed, you are blessed, you are whole, your prodigal will return, and you possess every good gift God has promised you!

Strategy

Here are some tried and true strategies. The steps below build upon themselves and will help reignite your faith. Sis, you need faith. You may not be the loudest or appear the strongest physically but the weapons God has given you are mighty in God for the PULLING DOWN of strongholds. Even the softest woman of God can defeat the enemy in the place of prayer. Now let’s build up most holy faith!

  1. Consistency – Maintain spiritual discipline consistently in and out of season so that you weld your weapons with precision and accuracy.
  2. BELIEVE GOD – if He said it, that settles it.
  3. Get up! Move on that faith – Get out of your bed, leave your room, and go into the world with expectation that God’s provision is on the other side of your rested movement.
  4. Speak…life over every dead or dying situation – We gone over this before, but speak it until you see it. The Holy Spirit just gave me that. Yes, speak it until you see it. Write down what you are believing God for and use scripture that actually aligns and speak the life giving Word over your life.

Now Go Contend – You can do this

This morning is the day everything begins and changes for us. This situation is visibly shifting in our favor because we are now standing against that which is opposing us and our destinies.

Start every morning this way.

“Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

How do we stand? We BELIEVE God. If he said, your life will be restored, you believe Him even if everything looks the opposite. If He is speaking peace to your spirit so you can sleep at night, you believe Him. If He said your family member will be saved, you believe Him. Yes, we BELIEVE, even if everything looks the polar opposite right now.

How do we know with certainty that we will be successful?

First, we know because God is on our side.

“What then shall we say to all these things? If God is for us, who can be [successful] against us? [Ps 118:6]”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭31‬ ‭AMP‬‬

But second we know that if we believe His prophets, we will succeed. And I’m not talking about the prophe-liars that make your ears itch. I’m talking about the people God speaks to and their words have not fallen flat in your life. But more importantly, I am talking about the prophets of the Bible. Open your Bible. Grab those promises. Hold them and live by them.

Early the next morning the army of Judah went out into the wilderness of Tekoa. On the way Jehoshaphat stopped and said, “Listen to me, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be able to stand firm. Believe in his prophets, and you will succeed.””

‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭20‬:‭20‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Prayer

Father God in the name of Jesus, thank You for Your goodness and mercy toward us. You have been faithful and we trust that You will continue to be faithful in spite of what we see. We believe You God! I lift up each and every one of my sisters who may read this message. I pray they lift their heads and set their faces on You, El Gibor. May their eyes see clearly who is the fight with them. May they have eyes like David who boldly declared in the face of a literal giant, “You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have taunted. This day the Lord will hand you over to me, and I will strike you down and cut off your head. And I will give the corpses of the army of the Philistines this day to the birds of the sky and the wild beasts of the earth, so that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel!” Build up unwavering faith in my sisters, train their hands for war. Reassure them that the victory is already won! We praise You in advance God for the “impossible” we are about to see made possible! We bless You for being the banner of victory over us. Thank You! We seal this all in Jesus’ mighty and sufficient name. Amen, may it be so.

Now, woman, war!

Biggest hugs and love,

Conversational God

The conversation could have ended at God’s promise. Abraham could have heard God’s promise, hid it in his heart, and chosen not to reply, but he didn’t.

God’s Promise of RESTORATION

For restoration to occur, first something has to be lost or destroyed. For visual learners, I want you to imagine an old dilapidated home that has long lost its function and beauty.

Hidden

In the Christian vernacular there are a lot of colloquialisms that are not based in Scripture. However, there is one that does have a basis in scripture.

Provoked to Pray

I want to encourage you with this simple word…it’s time for you to pray. Breakthrough will not come until you do.
